Ταυτόχρονα, η ολίσθηση µπορεί να µειωθεί κατά 53% περίπου και η παραγωγή να αυξηθεί κατά περίπου 20%. ∆εδοµένου ότι τα εδάφη συχνά διαφέρουν µεταξύ των αγροτεµαχίων, η χρήση ενός τυπικού βάθους καλλιέργειας σηµαίνει είτε εργασία πολύ ρηχή είτε πολύ βαθιά.
